WELCOME TO HAWTHORNE GOSPEL CHURCH
GETTING TO THE CHURCH
We are located at 2000 Route 208, Hawthorne, NJ.

WHAT DO I WEAR?
While some attendees do wear their “Sunday best”, most folks wear casual and comfortable clothes to our services. Don’t worry about what you wear - just come expecting a great worship experience!
WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?
We have three Sunday Morning services, each
approximately one hour in length,
and each with its own worship style:
8:25 AM Traditional service,
9:55 AM Contemporary service,
11:25 AM Blended service,
The "Sundays @ 5" contemporary service (formerly our Saturday Night Service) begins at 5:00 PM. You might want to arrive a few minutes early to visit our “Gospel Café”
and meet people before entering the sanctuary. The service is about 1-1/4 hour in length, and the Café is available at the close of the service as well.
There are refreshments available in the Pavilion
during the morning services, where you can fellowship and gather information about the many ministries of the church.
Nursery is provided for ALL services. Sunday School is during the 10:00 AM service and Children’s Church during the 11:30 AM service, and Club208 for the "Sundays @ 5" service.
Our busiest time
is around 10:00,
so it is wise to arrive slightly earlier to find a parking space at that time.
We also have a shuttle service that takes you right to the front door of the sanctuary.
If you have a Bible, bring it with you to church. Our Pastors usually provide teaching outlines for their messages, and a Bible will help you to follow along. We do have Bibles in the pews as well.
We do ask that no pets be brought into the building and that all food and beverages remain outside of the sanctuary.
WHERE DO I PARK?
We have many parking areas around the campus. Click HERE to view how you access these areas. Our facilities are wheelchair accessible and there are an ample number of handicapped
WHERE DO MY CHILDREN GO?
We take child security seriously. All children must be registered and signed in each week. Pagers will be given for the younger ones so you can be reached when needed.
All children’s ministry volunteers have to complete service questionnaires and go through background checks to work with our children.
Depending on their Age/Grade (at 10:00 AM):
- 0-23 months Infant/Toddler Center (church building below sanctuary)
- 2 year olds C-1
- 3 year olds C-2
- 4 year olds C-8
- Kindergarten C-9
- First Grade C-4
- Second and Third Grade E-2 (Education Building)
- Fourth and Fifth Grade Y-201 (Youth Ministries Building)
Our greeters will be happy to direct you to the appropriate location.
WHAT IS THERE FOR MY JUNIOR/SENIOR HIGHER?
Our Junior and Senior High students (6th-12th grade) meet on Sunday morning during the 10:00 AM service in the LOFT. We open up the morning with a time of worship, an intro to the lesson, and prayer. After that we split up, one group (ex-high school) will stay in the LOFT for a large group lesson while the other group (ex-middle school) will split up into small groups by grade and gender where they discuss the lesson that they heard the previous week and talk about how to apply it to their lives. The following week the two groups reverse places. We end at 11:00 AM, the same time the service ends.
In addition to Sunday morning we have weekly opportunities for students to get involved in. Both junior high and senior high have weekly youth group and small group/Bible studies.
Check out the youth website WWW.HGCYOUTH.COM for more info on the schedule and times!
